Stephen W. McKown, EA, Owner
Steve earned a B. S. in Mechanical Engineering from Clarkson University in 1991.
After graduation he joined General Electric Company and completed a number of prestigious management training programs across multiple locations during his years there.
In 1995 Steve co-founded a successful sign and graphics company in Charlotte, NC. His clients included Bank of America, Duke Energy, The Atlantic Coast Conference, and many other industry leading companies.
After selling that company in 1998 Steve relocated to the Raleigh area to pursue other career interests - including financial planning and tax planning - and in 1999 he founded the Tax Center of Cary. The rest is history!
Steve has more than 25 years of experience as a tax professional and is an Enrolled Agent, licensed to represent clients in tax matters before the IRS.
Steve, his wife, and two children enjoy living and working in the Cary area.
Chet Sadosky, CAA, EA
Chet has more than 10 years experience as a tax professional and his specialties are rental properties and stock transactions. He is an Enrolled Agent - licensed to represent clients in tax matters before the IRS.
Ted Apostle
Ted earned a B.S. in Accounting from Rowan University in 2020. After graduating, he gained 5 years of tax experience, first as a Tax Analyst for US Bank Global Fund Services before joining the Tax Center.
Marcia Darrin, Office Manager
Marcia has over 30 years of experience in the field of banking. She is the driving force behind making the Tax Center run smoothly. She joined the Tax Center in 2022 and has been the voice of the Tax Center ever since.
